The 1st time I owned it a couple years ago, and I ran over it's power-cord while not paying attention and using it in a hurry.. it chewed halfway through the cable causing sparks and a power-surge.. it's THAT powerful!! (and the power-cable is pretty solid.) So after being without it for a year and using other Vacuums in the house I actually missed how much better this one was compared to the other 2 Oreck and Bissel models I have. I was really disappointed to see Dirt-Devil discontinue the model at Target as gorgeous and Powerful as it is, but thankfully there's enough sellers here on Amazon that still have a few left over in stock. I would Highly recommend this Vacuum more then any other and for this price it's a steal! The amount of dust and dirt and dog-hair it picks up is ridiculous. And emptying the chamber is effortless.. greatest bagless vacuum I've ever owned, hands down. I'm actually contemplating getting a second one to store for years down the road since they're no longer made.
