(More customer reviews)The vacuum is light weight and seems to pick up dog hair well, however it clogs easily and you need to take it apart to unclog it.You MUST scour the floor and remove any kids toy parts, paper clips, rocks, etc.If you don't you could clog it or break it and Oreck will not honor the warranty.
My vacuum must have picked up something because the motor housing broke.I have been very good about looking for those little things but I must have missed one.Despite having a 21 year warranty, Oreck declined to make good on the repair.The manager at the Oreck repair shop was rude.He basically said that I must have been using it to suck up rocks or kids toys.I wrote the company but they declined also.
My advice, avoid it.It's not worth the extra money and you can get better results for less.
